Amy + Alanna’s Detroit Masonic Temple wedding was the absolute perfect way to end my 2017 season. I know, I know. It’s May 18th and 2017 seems like a distant memory but I’ve been waiting to post this one because in my off season I’ve been working on a rebrand. A brand that is true to my love of Detroit and my love of the great outdoors. But here we are, the middle of May. It’s not totally done yet and I just can’t wait any longer to post this amazing wedding.
On a STUNNING November day, Amy and Alanna were married at the Masonic Temple in Detroit. They got ready at Motor City Casino where we got a sick hook up on a first look location. Their first look was seriously one of the sweetest ever. After, we headed to one of my favorite streets in Detroit, Griswold for pictures with their bridal party. Amy + Alanna wanted to make sure we got a lot of pictures inside the Masonic because it is such a beautiful and historic Detroit building. It didn’t disappoint and neither did their bridal party. Giving me that Vanity Fair realness, I was obsessed.
Their ceremony was so beautiful, it brought me to tears a few times. With readings from Amy’s brothers, their sweet flower girl and ring barer stealing the show at times, and their vows that were so special and meaningful. I’m getting goosebumps again! After the ceremony, I looked outside for a second and realized the sun was setting and it was giving Detroit a show. Amy + Alanna were a little hesitant to go outside because their families were waiting to start family pictures. But, I put my foot down and said, family can wait – it will be worth it! We headed to the rooftop and damn, was it ever.
I hope you love these images as much as I do. This wedding will go down as one of my favorites ever.
Amy + Alanna, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your wedding. It was such an honor to be able to share the magic of your day and be a teeny tiny part of your story. <3
