As summer is coming to a close, let’s throw back to the beginning off the summer to this Michigan League wedding. Caitlin and Jake were married at the beautiful Bethlehem United Church of Christ in Ann Arbor. Caitlin arrived in style in Hugo, a beautiful 1949 Packard. I love Hugo, I’m so happy I finally got him in front of my camera! Caitlin looked like a dream rolling into the church with the sound of bagpipes playing in the background. The ceremony had lots of little special moments but my two favorites were the bagpiper and the hand fastening ceremony. You just can’t go wrong with a piper and the hand fastening ceremony is so beautiful and special.
We headed out around Ann Arbor for pictures with their super fun bridal party. Ann Arbor in the spring is something special and when you put in this super adorable couple it’s total perfection! Caitlin and Jake wanted to make a special trip to a coffee shop on their wedding day. They wanted to start their marriage in the same kind of space they had their first date. Since we couldn’t make the drive to Plymouth, we settled on Comet Coffee in the Nichols Arcade.
Their reception was at the Michigan League. This was my first time shooting a wedding here and I absolutely loved it! The space was beautifully decorated in florals from Yasmeena’s Floral and full of special little touches. Caitlin and Jake danced the night away, surrounded by their nearest and dearest. It was the absolute perfect way to start off my season.
Congrats, Cait and Jake! Thanks for having me capture your magical wedding day. <3
